A column installed in the entrance hall of Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm was mistaken by staff, students and visitors for a correctly built, load bearing column. It blended in so well that most people didn’t even recognize it as a piece of art. The column found a different purpose and served as an architectural element to lean on or stand beside when for example chatting with someone or waiting for the elevator.
